What to send

A short email is enough. Three things help us send you the right thing:

  1. Your contact information

Name, company, role, and the best way to reach you. We send the draft to a person, not to an address list.

  2. Why you are interested in the book

A line or two. Whether you are automating procedures on a live plant, writing a standard for your organisation, teaching it, or reading it to decide whether the approach fits — it changes which parts are worth your time, and we will say which chapters to start with.

  3. Whether we can have five minutes

If you are willing, a short call tells us more about whether the book is landing than any amount of writing does. It is genuinely five minutes, and saying no does not affect the draft.

Why we ask. The draft is not finished, and feedback from people doing the work is what finishes it. If something in it is wrong, unclear, or does not match how your plant actually runs, that is the most useful thing you could tell us.

Reading it for a project?

If you are weighing up procedure automation on a real plant, the book is one half of the answer and an assessment of your own data is the other.
